just what does "vox aqualis" mean anyway?
vox = voice; sound, tone, cry, call; word; utterance...
aqualis = of water, watery; water vessel...

what does the vox aqualis trio sound like?
"mesmerizing" "mellow" "like 60's French jazz-pop" are terms we hear used to describe us. Listen to samples at our mperia.com website. Our demo tracks were recorded at Northern Track Recording Studios in Vermont; musicians are Lydia Witman, David Sherick, and guest bassist and percussionist Tom Parker. Songs we cover = Traffic's "Low Spark of High-heeled Boys," Terry and McGhee's "Up Sometimes Down," and Van Morrison's "Moondance" (more covers are in the works).

who are Lydia, Dave and Lenny?
Individual band member pages:
Lydia Witman: singer, songwriter, pianist, guitarist. Lydia
Dave Sherick: vibist, percussionist. Dave
Lenny Fatigati: bassist. Lenny has his own fancy website! Lenny

Lydia and David got together in early 2004, recorded demo tracks with a guest bassist, and then joined with Lenny mid-year to form the current vox aqualis lineup. Hailing from the metro Philadelphia region, the seasoned musicians are a long-time Philly-area performer and two more recent imports to the region. Their first live performance took place at a private party where the music, guests and champagne joined forces to form a relaxed, vibrant, and convivial atmosphere.
